WW2 Era 81MM M68 Mortar Training/Practice Round WW2 Appears to be unissued /WW2 Era 81MM M68 Mortar Training Practice Round The body of the shell is cast iron. It is similar in shape to the light H. E. 81 mm shell which is tear drop shaped with a blunt nose and tapered tail. It has a bourrelet (smooth area) on the body near the nose to act as a forward bearing surface and gas check. Overall weight is roughly 10 pounds and 11 inches in length.
