It is a Japanese selection of a dense dwarf growing to 4 6 ft in height with pink and white flecking throughout the tiny leaves. This true dwarf grows about 3 4 inches per year. There is nothing like it, nor is there another upright so dwarf and so variegated. Variegation on 'Ryugu' appears to be fairly stable. This tree makes a great
