This is a very nice May 1944 dated Luftwaffe 50L fuel oil drum, which measures approximately 23 inches (58cm) high with a 15 inch (38cm) diameter. The base has an embossed Luftwaffe Eagle with a date and various maker logos: 5 (logo) 44 (Luftwaffe Eagle) LE3 IIB (L in Triangle) The can still bears original German WW2 Luftwaffe gray blue paint with white stenciling on both ends, as well as on the sides.
