It features a fabric decorative "chinstrap" held in place by two fabric covered buttons. The front of the cap is stiffened and it has a painted metal badge for the People's Army of Vietnam, attached by a small nut in the back. The red paint on the badge has unfortunately mostly flaked away, as shown.
