Germany, Kriegsmarine. A Coastal Artillery Officer’s Overseas Cap visually-hidden (1840-49 issue)(Kriegsmarine Schiffchen fr Offiziere der Kstenartillerie). An extremely well preserved Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery Officers overseas cap, constructed of field grey wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold down side walls which gently slope toward the front. The edge of the walls is fully trimmed by a length of fine gold bullion wire piping. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a field grey rayon backer bearing a machine embroidered
