Measuring 9 3 4" X 15 1 2" this is the ORIGINAL Certificate printed and then completed by hand, granting this 160 acre Land Grant for the receipt of some undisclosed amount paid to the General Land Office by a DAVID GOULD dated APRIL 15TH. 1857 and signed James Buchanan, which was most likely done by the secretary G. H. Jones or the recorder of the land office, J. A. Granger. The lower left hand corner has a raised U. S.
