This is an amazing long barreled flintlock pistol, which started life in Austria, made using an early silver inlaid "Ottoman" barrel. It features all brass mounts which were probably gilt originally. Made for the Turkish Ottoman market, it does not cater for a ramrod, which were carried separately around the neck in the 18th and 19th centuries. It does have a brass "faux" ramrod, which is part of the brass fittings
