The 3rd Division was activated in November 1917 during World War I at Camp Greene
on the French made Barrel front bushing which is stamped " Mitr
it was water-cooled using a jacket around the barrel that held approximately one gallon of water
though an integral part of the army of Great Britain
Many MG 15s were modified for infantry use as heavier weapons replaced them on Luftwaffe aircraft
