Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period correct replacement ribbon, the obverse with a leftward facing profile of Friedrich Wilhelm III circumscribed by name and title, above dates 1813, 1814, 1815, the reverse with a central monogram of Wilhelm I, above laurel and oak branches and topped by a date og 17 MRZ 1863, unmarked, measuring 29. 06 mm in diameter, weighing 12. 5 grams, in
