Description
Bletilla 'First Kiss' is a vigorous grower that will quickly make a colony when grown in rich
and that seems to slow slightly with age
requiring virtually no care in the garden
Gardens have been described as the slowest of the performing arts and the stunning display of Zephyranthes and their close cousin Habranthus demand that one go out into the garden and enjoy their performance
merely cut away the damaged foliage and they will soon put up new growth
Dryopteris tokyoensis Fragrant Flowers Bletilla 'First Kiss' is aThe Tokyo wood fern is one of those little known, but splendid, deciduous woodland ferns, native to woodlands from Honshu to Shikoku and across to Korea. Similar to a dwarf Dryopteris x celsa, the tight, 3' wide, deer resistant clump of upright, narrow, 3' long fronds provide a nice vertical accent in the woodland garden. We think Dryopteris tokyoensis is an easy to grow and distinctive deer resistant fern for the woodland shade garden.
