and the top of the helmet is missing most of the paint
and is honestly probably the best that we have ever seen
but it does not look like it ever had one on this somewhat smaller pistol

This is a nice WWII Italian Mondial Model V Signal Pistol, marked at the left frame "Mondial", "V in circle", above left grip on frame within a diamond form "three circles with M in each over Mondial". This was used by the Italians during World War II, and this example is still in working order. Its marked with CAT. 1129 on the right side of the frame.
