This is an original German WWII NSDAP first pattern flag pole finial, or Fahnenstange Endstck, constructed from solid cast aluminum in the early multi part style. The finial features the familiar spread wing Party eagle perched above an oak leaf wreath containing a canted hook cross, and it is now mounted on a black marble display base added during the postwar period. The aluminum eagle measures approximately 6 3 4"
