19th Century Victorian Hand Painted Papier Mache Box Victorian iron work It is in excellent conditionI adore this exquisite handpainted paper mache box dating from the late 1800s. The classical detail, slightly timeworn and faded is so beautiful. The box was possibly used as a travelling spice box with the internal compartments that are removable. It does have some wear and tear and parts of the paint fading which is commensurate with age but what a gorgeous piece and in beautiful condition for its age.
