Fan belonged to German mezzo soprano contralto Therese Rothauser (1865 1943), a famous interpreter of Mozart and a leading performer in Leipzig and Berlin. Rothauser, who was Jewish, tragically perished in 1943 during the holocaust while being captive in Theresiendstadt concentration camp. Fan is full of signatures on both sides (we counted a total of 60), from artists, mostly singers
