Austria, I Republic. A Gendarmerie Radio Operator’s Badge, By L. Klein, C.1923 Archive together with the recipient’s Canadian(Gendarmerie Funker Abzeichen). Constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse with a central Austrian style national eagle bearing a shield with national colours, inside a red and black enameled diamond, topped by white and gilt enameled inscription GENDARMERIE FUNKER (GENDARMERIE RADIO OPERATOR), with green enameled oak leaf branches at the bottom, the reverse with dual attachment clips, maker marked L. Klein, Wien, measuring
