A well preserved Heer Flak Artillery Officers M38 field cap, constructed of field grey wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold down side panels, scalloped toward the front, with the edge of the peak trimmed with a length of silver aluminum wire piping. An additional length of identical piping surrounds the outer edge of the crown. The former is flanked by two ventilation holes, both reinforced
