Saxe-Coburg & Gotha, Duchy. A Duke Carl Eduard Medal With War Decoration Archive showing contact and wear from(Herzog Carl Eduard Medaille mit Kriegsdekoration). Instituted 10 March 1911 by Duke Carl Eduard. (1914 1935 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with 1914 sword clasp, the obverse bearing a raised rightward facing profile of Duke Carl Eduard, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central Saxe Coburg & Gotha coat of arm, flanked by lions rampant, topped by an inscription of FUER VERDIENSTE
