Foster, measuring 27. 3 mm (w) x 35. 8 mm (h), well worn and toned, fair. Footnote: Medal issued by T. Playfair, Lord Mayor of Sydney. It was presented to each member of the contingent which fought in the Soudan, who were expected to engrave their own name, number or insignia on the medal.
