This is a very nice relic condition all original example of a German WWII M35 helmet shell, issued to the Heer (Army), dug up in the Leningrad area. It definitely looks like it was buried for some time after the war, or was left out in the open, as it shows a lot of weathering and oxidation. There are no holes from oxidation, but the shell is cracked in the rear, and the paint is bubbled up and oxidized. It was
