Instituted 15 October 1852 by King Friedrich Wilhelm IV. (1852 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross with white enameled arms, each joined through the quadrants by a blackened Prussian imperial eagle, the twelve oclock arm topped by a pebbled fan perforated with an eyelet retaining a suspension loop and period original full length
