This is a very nice example of an Early American powder horn with bulbous throat. The bottom of the horn has six crude nails holding the wooden butt in place. This is a very well used horn. There is a long bar in the wooden butt for attachment of a strap. The horn has great color which has worn heavily over time. The horn is roughly 13 1 2 long. A very nice horn from Early America.
