Constructed of a card stock binding with paginated interior pages filled with handwritten and stamped entries, retaining a certified black and white studio portrait of Neumann, notably closing with a pasted Royal Navy Identity Card indicating that Neumann survived the war and was taken into captivity by British forces, measuring 10 cm (w) x 14. 5 cm (h), demonstrating material fatigue consistent with being carried on the bearers
