Russia, Imperial. An Order Of St. George, Miniature, C.1915 consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Tank Badge Grade II –( . ). Instituted in 1769. In silver with red and white enamels, tiny characters etched on the reverse of the arm at 3 o'clock, measuring 16. 5 mm (w) x 16 mm (h), screwback, intact enamels, on a 33. 5 mm in diameter orange and black ribboned rosette with black cloth support, extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of St. George was instituted on November 26, 1769 and awarded for meritorious military services or bravery in combat, in four grades.
