Here we have a lovely all brass Officer's Merryweather Pattern Brass Fire helmet, used by British fire fighters from Victorian times all the way up through WWII. It is decorated with embossed "Dragon" motifs, and is very ornate, typical of the Victorian era. Those produced during the 20th century were usually less decorated. It still retains the officers brass ring chin strap, attached to Rose shaped side retainers.
