This helmet is heat lot stamped 25E which indicates the approximate manufacture date of January 1942
The paper is a bit delicate
Original German WWII Cased Iron Cross First Class 1939 by C.F. Zimmermann of Pforzheim - EKI Hotchkiss MG " and is engraved:Original Items: Only One Available. This is a lovely cased example of a WWII Iron Cross First Class 1939, with a Magnetic core, flat design, and later straight pin attachment. It is maker marked on the underside of the pin by the hinge with Prsidialkanzlei des Fhrers Lieferant (Presidential Chancellery Supplier) number 20, which represents C. F. Zimmermann of Pforzheim. This is a very desirable maker of the EKI, and this is one of the few examples
