It bears an S marked over the chamber to indicate modification for the S-PATRONE cartridge introduced in 1903 (we do not recommend firing the S-cartridge in this carbine)

It was replaced with a simple white line painted up the length of the barrel
Original German WWII Luftwaffe Officer Sword with Aluminum Fittings by F.A. Helbig German Mauser 98k K98 Included in the fantastic combatOriginal Items: Only One Available. This is an excellent example of a German WWII Luftwaffe Officer's Sword from a rare maker with great aluminum fittings. This is mid war produced example as early war examples were silver frosted nickel alloy, however as the war continued they moved to the "air age" aluminum material.
