Instituted 30 April 1841 by Grand Duke Paul Friedrich. (1841 1872 issue). Constructed of Gold, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with ribbed borders, the obverse with a central medallion bearing a monogram of Grand Duke Paul Friedrich, the reverse with an analogous medallion bearing a number 25 in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 35. 23
