Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, around a Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42. 14 mm (w) x 52. 98 mm (h), weighing 27. 5 grams, with oxidation and loss of finish evident throughout, in overall very fine
