Brazil, Kingdom. An Order of the Rose, Commander Breast Star, in Gold, c.1870 visually-hidden (T2-3844 DVR(Imperial Ordem da Rosa). Instituted October 17, 1829 by Dom Pedro I. A beautiful star, in silver gilt, a six armed white enamelled cross with ball finials, affixed to a solid multi rayed gilded plate with three pink enamelled roses on green enamelled laurels in each quadrant creating a wreath, the obverse medallion in Gold presents the hand chiselled medallion of Pedro I, surrounded by a blue enamelled ring with the inscription AMOR E FIDELIDADE
