We're getting warmer in tracking down its origin. Dale Batchelor of Raleigh ordered it from Florida and lost track of the name, later naming it after her gardening uncle, Slim Ruddell. Hedychium 'Slim's Orange' is a selection of Hedychium coccineum, confirmed by ginger guru Tom Wood. The
