Germany, Hj. A Member’s Knife, Transitional Example By Carl Eickhorn Newly Listed Second Afghan War and First(HJ Fahrtenmesser). A well preserved HJ members knife, measuring 25. 5 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 13 cm long, nickel plated, magnetic steel blade with a sharpened tip and lower edge. The obverse of the blade bears an acid etched inscription of BLUT UND EHRE! (BLOOD AND HONOUR!). The reverse features a transitional makers mark consisting of the logo of Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, situated above a Reichszeugmeisterei
