Hosta Pot of Gold Shade Perennials full sun in moistHosta 'Pot of Gold' is an all gold sport of Hosta 'Rainbow's End', which in turn is a sport of Hosta 'Obsession'. The narrow, glossy golden leaves form an attractive small 15" wide clump, topped in mid July with 18" tall flower scapes that are heavily speckled purple a hummingbird favorite. The purple flower buds opening pinkish lavender and accompanying purple tinged vestigial leaves are a nice color contrast to the bright gold foliage.
