Germany, Luftwaffe. An Officer’s Overseas Field Cap Auction Archive surrounded gilt lettering(Luftwaffe Fliegermtze). This is an extremely well preserved Luftwaffe officers overseas field cap, constructed of ribbed dark grey wool. The cap is surrounded by a fold down panel, the top of which is trimmed with a band of twisted and rolled silver aluminum wire piping, indicating that the cap was upgraded when the owner received a promotion.
