A fine example of a Hanseatic Cross (Hanseatenkreuz); a silvered bronze cross with red enameled arms; the obverse with a center medallion depicting a silvered Lbeck coat of arms; the reverse inscribed in the centre with Fr Verdienst im Kriege 1914 (For Merit in War 1914); on loop for suspension; unmarked; measuring 40. 12 mm (w) x 39. 97 mm (h); in overall near extremely fine condition.
