Erwin Earl Osler was born on 10th August 1922 in Regina and he enlisted in the RCAF on 13th February 1941
where he was diagnosed with "Balanitis" (swelling of the head of the penis and sometimes the foreskin) and "Phimosis" (a condition in males where the foreskin cannot be fully retracted over the glans penis)
