Exceedingly rare signed photo, with a short sentiment in French, dated by him in St. Petersburg in 1886, almost exactly a year before his death at age of only 44 during a festive ball. Size is 4. 2 x 5. 7 inches, trimmed at the top, professionally repaired cracks but clearly legible signature, inscription
