A 1942/43 Gebirgs-Pionier-Bataillon 54 Caucasus Campaign Commemorative Medal visually-hidden superimposed on golden celleon (cello)(Gebirgs Pionier Bataillon 54 Kaukasuseinstze Erinnerungsabzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, on loop for suspension from an original leather cord, the obverse bearing a central raised pennant flanked by edelweiss, circumscribed by inscriptions of JETZT ERST RECHT! (NOW MORE THAN EVER!) and GEB. PI. BTL. 54, the reverse bearing a central raised mountainscape, overlaid by dates 1942 43, topped by an inscription of KAUKASUS, and situated above an
