This is a classic style "Kentucky" Rifle Musket, with brass mounts including hooked butt plate, and exotic trigger guard. It is signed on the lock plate by LANE & REED BOSTON, who worked from 1826 until 1849. The fore end wood in front of the regular half stock appears to have been added to mount the iron
