and there is wear around the bottom edge
The projectile retains much of the original paint but does appear to be dated 1942 with a 1944 dated shell
The interior of the helmet still has an original M31 leather liner with all 8 fingers intact

Now this is a fantastic example of a rather difficult set of wings to acquire. This is a Sterling marked set of Glider Pilot wings, still in great condition without any serious damage. The set has a fantastic patina, and the pin on the back is still working well. Offered in lovely condition. Ready to display! Glider Pilot wings were awarded to soldiers who completed training as pilots of military gliders (MOS 1026).
