In silver and consisting of a seven pointed multi rayed star, each of the arms with multiple faceted rays, and with a crescent moon and star in between each arm, the obverse with a bronze gilt centerpiece showing the Sultan Abdul Meijids royal cypher surrounded by a Turkish inscription within burgundy enamels, short section of period silk ribbon, measuring 62. 16 mm (w) x 89. 82 mm (h inclusive
