A bronze gilt and enamel cross patte with red enameled arms edged in gilt, overlaid on a finely detailed gilt double headed Imperial Austrian eagle with open wings, each head crowned. Obverse central medallion in white enamel with raised, gilded, intertwined monogram FJ for Franz Joseph. Reverse medallion in white enamel bearing the
