Campion and Columbine Seedheads with Spey Feathers collage Image size: 585mm x 430mmOriginal watercolour Image size: 710mm x 455mm The Abram Games designed Festival of Britain glass celery jar is a nod to Bawdens own work created for this landmark event celebrating arts, science, industry and design. It sits on my copy of Douglas Percy Bliss monograph on Bawden which I bought on Museum Street on a whim a few days after leaving Central St. Martins College of Art and Design back in the mid 1980s. I knew little about Bawdens work at
