Thundercloud Flowering Plum Size:(4'-5') great for cooking or eatingPrunus cerasifera 'Thundercloud' Thundercloud Plum is easily the most popular purple leaved plum in America, and justly so. Originated in 1919 by Luther Burbank, it blooms with fragrant pale pink spring flowers, followed by bright red foliage, which turns darker as the season progresses. While ornamental, Thundercloud may set a crop of small edible plums which are dark red both inside and out. It will grow to about 25' tall and wide. Can be prone to
