Ethiopia, Kingdom. An Order of Emperor Menelik II, Grand Cross Breast Star Newly Listed Grand Cordon Badge: in bronze(yedagimaw ts minliki tiizazi ). Instituted 1924. A breast star, of silver gilt and enamels, presenting alternating clusters of smooth and faceted rays, with a red and green enamelled superimposed cross with a lion in the center and a surmounting Ethiopian crown on the 12 oclock arm, the reverse features a vertical pin with dual stays, measures 78. 6 mm (w) x 82. 7 mm (h), weighs 110. 7 grams, unmarked, enamels intact, remains in very fine condition.
