US WW2 10-Gauge Green Flares in Original Carton Fusee Spring & Cover it was intended that theOriginal Item: An original box of ten 10 gauge green flares dated 6 16 41. These are the flares used by the U. S. Navy Sedgley Mark V Signal Pistol. The flares are far rarer now than the pistols, and a full box is even rarer. It is in fact a mystery how these managed to go all the way through the Second World War without having been used. The base of each cartridge is marked VFM No. 10, and the closing wad is marked SIGNAL LIGHT VERY MK II GREEN. One
