Black lacquered leather body and front visor with gilded trim. The top of the mortarboard is also constructed of lacquered leather. The chinchain is absent but there are ornate lion's head bosses. The cap has a red cloth lining and black leather sweatband. The tschapka body is crazed but solid. The lining is worn, but this scarce helmet is still in very good
