Now this is a lovely framed offering dating back to the end of The Great War. The certificate is much similar to the United States Certificate of Service. This example once belonged to Monsieur Joseph J. Chautard, 139th Regiment of Infantry, Class of 1916. Chautard served on the Champagne front and was wounded one.
