This is a very nice example of a WWII Issue Carry Case for the M1 Garand Rifle, officially known as the "semi automatic rifle, caliber 30, M1." This case was intended for transporting the rifle easily when in non combat areas, keeping it free from dirt and wear. This example is maker marked on the interior under the strap reinforcement: R. G. HANSON MFG. CO. 1944. This is a known maker of these cases, and we have
