Original Canadian Victorian M1877 Colonial Pattern Sun Helmet - size 7 1/8 German Militaria while captured examples were usedOriginal Item: Only One Available. Authorized in June of 1877 the regulation Foreign Service Helmet, was made of cork and covered in white cloth with a standard six seams. The style was worn throughout the empire, and this pattern remained in use until replaced by the Wolseley pattern helmet. This is a very nice Canadian issue example of the standard white "six seam" version, maker marked on the inside by two firms Montral, part of the Quebec province
