A 1921 Weimar Republic Upper Silesia Plebiscite Medal Archive McCrae was inspired and beganBrownish red porcelain, obverse illustrating a woman with a baby in her arms and two children at her feet reaching up to her, inscribed "DEM WER UNS TRENNT VOM DEUTSCHEN HERD" above and "BLIEBT SCHMACH IST KEINER LIEBE WERT" below, reverse illustrating a forest of trees with puffs of clouds above, with a right hand protruding from the clouds and giving a "victory" sign framed by the date "1921", inscribed "5 M." (Five Mark) and "OBERSCHLESIENS DANK"
